I thought his name was Spike based on what others had said until I went to the theater to see the movie around 3 weeks after it's release and saw his name was Stripe. The day after the movie came out people were calling him Spike. Even at the time it was a huge misconception that his name was Spike due to his Spikey hair. Not knowing his name is not new and it's not a memory error. I know the crowd around here trends toward the younger side but I'm sure many of you were teenagers in 1990 when this movie came out.
